Job Outline
To understand new and existing Client's business and their approach to insurance and risk management and to design and administer insurance solutions for the protection of their material assets and liabilities. To seek new business in line with company objectives and personal targets as defined within Sales and Individual Plans. To maintain, and achieve growth in, income from existing clients. To carry out 'Client Relationship Management' (CRM) including visits for new & existing client and agreeing timelines in advance. To collate information and carry out administration of allocated Client's insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner, in accordance with company procedures and performance standards. Ensure collection of premiums from clients is carried out in accordance with Company procedures.
Principle Objectives and Responsibilities
1. To understand client's business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.
2. Obtain and communicate sufficient information to demonstrate an understanding of the risk and to support the broking process in accordance with company procedures.
3. Offer and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions, with purpose to secure renewal and/or new business.
4. To expand existing client portfolio to include additional covers and to produce new business leads for the sales team.
5. Plan client meetings in advance to meet with company procedures.
6. Send Client communications including meeting agenda, notes and reports in a timely manner always ensuring their accuracy.
7. Manage own files as per local procedures. Confining advice and information to those areas in which you are deemed competent, otherwise seeking advice as appropriate.
8. To assist in ensuring that all post and diary activity is completed daily in accordance with the local procedure and performance standards.
9. Always demonstrating the professionalism of our organisation, when visiting clients and in all communications.
10. To maintain effective control in respect of allocated clients in line with Company procedures.
11. To assist in team performance by regular communication with colleagues and manager to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions.
12. To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA
Skills Required
- A sound knowledge of insurance products and the industry (Dip CII qualified or looking to work towards)
- A proven ability and aptitude for not only maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships but also expanding and growing new business.
- A willingness to evidence and adopt a self-sufficient and innovative approach to retaining and expanding your client portfolio whilst making use of supporting teams to generate income.
- Sound presentation skills
- Confidence in conducting face-to-face meetings with clients
- A full clean UK driving license
