The Department of Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children’s Wisconsin (CW) is thrilled to announce we are seeking a visionary, innovative, and scholarly leader to serve Chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery and Co-Director of the Herma Heart Institute (HHI) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

- Serve as the Division Chief of Congenital Heart Surgery at Children’s Wisconsin and Froedtert ThedaCare (for adult congenital heart disease), as part of a multi-specialty practice (Children's Specialty Group (CSG)).
- Serve as the Co-Director of the HHI, along with the Chief of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology and the HHI Executive Administrator.
- Collaborate in a matrixed environment to enhance clinical care, education and research for patients with pediatric and adult congenital heart disease.
- Lead the academic efforts of the Division, including oversight of the educational mission of MCW for both undergraduate and post-graduate students, residents, and fellows.
- Oversee the research efforts of the Division.
- Serve as the surgical triad leader in Milwaukee with responsibility for coordinated co-management of the Forward Pediatric Alliance, a joint venture with UW-Madison/American Family Children's Hospital, which has resulted in a combined surgical volume that sits among the top ten in the country.

- Will define the vision and strategy to drive programmatic excellence, aligning with the clinical, research, education, and community engagement missions of Children’s Wisconsin Hospital, Children’s Specialty Group, and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Candidate Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
- MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree required.
- Current board certification in Thoracic Surgery and Congenital Cardiac Surgery by American Board of Thoracic Surgery or equivalent
- Demonstrated national or international reputation
- Prior successful leadership experience
- Endorsement of the core values and missions of Herma Heart Institute, Children’s Wisconsin, Medical College of Wisconsin, and Forward Pediatric Alliance
