JOB STATEMENT:
The Business Manager is a key administrative position responsible for the planning, organization, supervision,
and evaluation of the school district's business and human resources operations and resources. This role ensures the efficient,
compliant, and fiscally responsible management of areas such as payroll, budgeting, and accounting. The Business Manager is directly responsible for oversight of fiscal security protocols including internal District controls; internal and external audits; District contracts; mandatory reports and other fiscal reports. Manages retirement programs, employment contracts, benefits and all associated reporting.

Requirements
Professional Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration or closely related field preferred.
Experience in a supervisory position of a public school financial/business office preferred.
School district budget/accounting/HR/payroll/reporting experience preferred.
Experience with WSIPC software product preferred.
Microsoft business software applications expertise, such as EXCEL, required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles of accounting as related to school district fiscal procedures.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and state/federal laws regarding school finance and payroll.
Demonstrated interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Ability to analyze fiscal process/procedure problems and develop/implement solutions in a positive way.
Ability to establish and maintain effective, positive working relationships with a variety of other individuals and groups.
Knowledge and experience processing payroll including associated benefits.
Skill in detecting errors and verifying data.
Ability to collect data and analyze patterns.
Ability to construct, implement and monitor timelines and meet deadlines on projects and reports.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex financial concepts.
Ability to forecast budget and other trends
