Position Summary
InfiniHealth Medical Group LLC is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly motivated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing behavioral health team on a full-time basis.
The PMHNP will provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing behavioral health treatment to patients primarily through telehealth. The ideal candidate is comfortable practicing independently within the scope permitted by applicable state law while collaborating with physicians, therapists, primary care providers, and other members of the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth.
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a broad range of behavioral and mental health conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
Provide psychopharmacologic treatment and medication management.
Prescribe medications within the PMHNP's authorized scope of practice, including appropriate monitoring and follow-up.
Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, adherence, and clinical outcomes.
Provide follow-up psychiatric visits and ongoing management of established patients.
Order and review laboratory testing and other clinically appropriate diagnostic services.
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and behavioral health management.
Identify patients requiring a higher level of care, emergency intervention, or in-person evaluation and coordinate appropriate referrals.
Collaborate with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic health record.
Complete documentation necessary to support medical necessity, coding, billing, prior authorization, and quality requirements.
Follow applicable federal and state telehealth, prescribing, privacy, and professional practice requirements.
Participate in clinical quality improvement and care coordination activities.
Qualifications
Required:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through ANCC or other applicable recognized certification.
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state(s) where services will be provided.
Appropriate prescribing authority.
Current DEA registration when required for the services provided.
Ability to provide care through a telehealth platform.
Strong psychiatric assessment, diagnostic, and medication-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Comfortable working independently as well as within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health experience.
Previous telepsychiatry/telehealth experience.
Experience treating adults with conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other common psychiatric conditions.
Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and/or Medicaid populations.
Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding and documentation requirements for psychiatric services.
Experience working within an integrated medical and behavioral health environment.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a consistent patient schedule. Services will be delivered primarily through telehealth.
Specific working hours and patient scheduling expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
