Company History
Washington Adventist Hospital is a 281-bed acute-care facility located in Takoma Park, Maryland. Opened in 1907, the hospital is Montgomery County’s first cardiac center, performing, on average, 500 open-heart surgeries and 6,000 heart catheterizations each year. Washington Adventist Hospital also provides high-quality care in many areas including oncology, surgical services, general and emergency medicine.
As part of our Vision for Expanded Access initiative, Washington Adventist Hospital is proposing to relocate the hospital to property it owns in the center of its service area near White Oak along the border of Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. A new 21st century facility, together with the health, wellness and education programs provided on its current Takoma Park campus, will continue strengthening the region’s health-care infrastructure and expanding access to care for all.
