We are seeking a licensed Registered Nurse with experience in Interventional Radiology and Vein Treatments or a Surgical Setting. This RN will work under the direct supervision of an Interventional Radiology Director, assisting providers and patients with cutting-edge treatments in high-end office-based surgical suites.

Certifications/Education Requirements:
- Current licensure as an RN within practicing state or a multi-state licensure
- Nursing degree from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current BLS and ACLS
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged period of standing, walking, and bending
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
Overview:
The role of the Registered Nurse, working closely with the providers and Medical Assistants, is to assist in providing nursing care to the patients undergoing a procedure within our surgical suites.
The goal is to ensure the clinic’s operations run smoothly, effectively and accurately to deliver maximum value to the organization and assistance to our patients in an environment where we are providing a high-quality level of care with a concierge feel.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan and evaluate the nursing care needs of the patients before, during and after a procedure
- Schedule procedures and conduct pre-surgery patient contact.
- Provide comfort and support for pre- and post-operative patients
- Participate in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation
- Carry out physician orders
- Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings, monitor vital signs
- Assist physician during procedures
- Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic techniques
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care
- Orient and mentor new staff membersFollow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
In addition, My AIM Health supports registered nurses’ delivery of conscious/moderate IV sedation. The patient shall safely maintain their airway independently and sustain expected levels of consciousness throughout the procedure. The registered nurses conducting procedural sedation shall be deemed competent through evaluation and conducting at least 3 cases under supervision. The nurse must provide active ACLS certification and maintain currency while holding this position. The nurse is expected to collaborate with physician in the room throughout sedation period. The following vital signs need to be continuously evaluated and charted every 5 minutes throughout the sedation:
- Blood Pressure, Heart Rate/ Rhythm, Oxygen Saturation, ETCO2, Respiratory Rate
Continuous evaluation of the patient’s level of sedation is expected throughout the sedation and report given to post-operative care team. My AIM Health limits the pharmaceutical drugs for IV sedation/ analgesia to the following: Benadryl, Versed, Hydromorphone, & Fentanyl. Registered nurses conducting sedation with My AIM Health are encouraged to participate in external sedation courses and continuing education credits in this specialty to maximize patient safety/outcomes.

(Schedule may be subject to change depending on clinic volumes)
Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience: Recent OR, Cath Lab, or IR: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Arizona RN License (Or Compact) (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)

Requirements
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year of recent operating room, cath lab, or interventional radiology experience
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills to ensure exceptional patient hospitality and experience
- Strong critical thinking skill and decisive judgement
- Proven working experience with physicians on assessments and surgeries
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
- Familiarity with EMR and EHR software programs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic and sense of confidentiality
