RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
\n• One weekend per month call requirement, approximately 7 days per month
\n• Provide routine and complex nursing care in the operating room setting
\n• Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant clinical aspects
\n• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
\n• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
\n• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols
\n• Monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
\n• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
\n• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
\n• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
\n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
\n• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
\n• BLS certification required (AHA only)
\n• RN License in state of Texas or compact required
